KEDGE Business School admissions:
which test to take and what scores are published

To enter KEDGE’s Grande École Program through ECRICOME Tremplin, you need a reasoning test: TAGE 2 for Bac+2, TAGE MAGE for Bac+3, or GMAT or GRE for either pathway, as well as an English test. ECRICOME pages now describe the 2027 admissions cycle; the 2026 documentation’s no-minimum statement does not establish the rules for 2027. Direct admission with an international bachelor’s degree and other programs have their own requirements.

Which track and tests apply to your degree?

KEDGE does not hold its own written entrance exam for applicants with a two- to four-year degree; it admits them through ECRICOME Tremplin, a shared admissions process whose 2027 pages list three schools: EM Strasbourg, KEDGE, and NEOMA. The Bac+2 pathway leads to the first year of the Grande École Program, and Bac+3 to the second. ECRICOME’s Bac+2 page calls the first year “Pré-Master”; labels vary between pages, so rely on the pathway description in your application.

Eligible holders of an international bachelor’s degree and MSc applicants may apply through KEDGE’s online platform with an application and interview. KEDGE also lists two ECRICOME pathways for other applicant profiles, the Science and D1/D2 competitions, which also require a reasoning test (TAGE 2, GMAT, or GRE); they are outside this article’s focus on applicants entering after Bac+2 or Bac+3. The table covers only the two Tremplin pathways and direct admission to the Master in Management; a later section discusses MSc, MBA, and Specialized Master programs.

Which management test should you choose?

For both Tremplin pathways, the admissions page marks the reasoning test as required for KEDGE, with a coefficient of 4. ECRICOME’s 2026 regulations specify the consequence: for schools that require a reasoning-test score, missing it is disqualifying and the applicant cannot be shortlisted. On the 2027 pages, only EM Strasbourg does not require the test and offers a possible bonus; that exception does not apply to KEDGE.

Neither KEDGE nor ECRICOME names a preferred test: the GMAT and GRE may replace the FNEGE test, and ECRICOME does not offer sessions for them. Choose based on your deadlines and other applications. The “TAGE 2 or TAGE MAGE” article explains why the Bac+2 and Bac+3 pathways use different tests; “TAGE MAGE or GRE” compares the latter with the GRE; and the article on tests in ECRICOME Tremplin Bac+3 explains how the shared process works.

For score validity, the 2026 regulations accepted TAGE scores for two calendar years—the test year and the following year—and GMAT or GRE scores from the five calendar years before registration closed. Those regulations excluded reasoning tests taken after the session deadline and kept the best TAGE score. Verify these historical rules against your cycle’s regulations; the 2027 pages still list TAGE validity as the test year and the following year. The score-validity article explains how to check your situation.

Which English test, and what is the minimum?

For the Tremplin pathways, the 2026 regulations make an English test mandatory for all schools in the shared competition, chosen from seven: IELTS, TOEFL, TOEIC Listening and Reading, TOEIC 4SKILLS, Duolingo, Cambridge B2 First, or LTE. The pages for both pathways show the same list, with a coefficient of 4 for KEDGE in the 2027 coefficients; the Bac+3 section still uses past tense, however. The 2026 regulations assigned zero out of 20 when no usable score was submitted, without automatic disqualification; verify this treatment for another cycle.

ECRICOME’s official December 9, 2025 presentation said no minimum score was required on reasoning or English tests for the 2026 cycle. No numeric cutoff was found in the 2027 Tremplin pages reviewed for this article; that alone does not confirm there is no regulatory minimum in 2027. The 2026 regulations described conversion to a score out of 20 using ECRICOME’s own table, without listing its values. KEDGE’s published minimums apply to direct admission to the Master in Management (TOEFL above 550, TOEIC strictly above 785, TOEFL iBT above 80, IELTS above 6, Duolingo 105, PTE 46, with a possible waiver after one year of English-language study or work experience in an English-speaking country); they do not apply to ECRICOME Tremplin. The TOEIC guide article on choosing between Listening and Reading and 4-Skills explains the difference.

What scores does KEDGE publish, and what does it leave unspecified?

No cutoff, admitted-student average or median, or shortlisting cutoff was found for KEDGE on the Tremplin pages reviewed. The no-minimum statement was explicit for 2026; ask about the applicable requirements for 2027. English scores published for direct admission, MSc programs, or the full-time MBA each have their own scope. Coefficients weight each component but do not indicate a target score.

The 2026 regulations do set thresholds for a bonus to the academic average, but these apply to schools that do not require a reasoning test; they do not apply to KEDGE and are not included here. The scoring-scale article explains how to read a TAGE MAGE score on the current scale.

What about MSc, double-degree, and MBA programs?

The MSc pages reviewed (supply chain, international business, arts and creative industries, and finance) describe an application and motivation interview; English-language pages also require proof of English, subject to stated waivers. They do not mention the TAGE MAGE, GMAT, or GRE; some also include an optional written assignment before the interview. English minimums vary by program and even by short or long track, so check your program’s page before booking a test.

The program-tracks page lists an MSc double degree among the Master 2 specializations. The full-time MBA page does not mention the TAGE MAGE, GMAT, or GRE in the sections reviewed. It first gives an English level corresponding to TOEIC 780, IELTS 6, or TOEFL iBT 85, then lists TOEIC > 780, TOEFL iBT > 85, IELTS 6, Duolingo 105, or PTE 46 among application documents; confirm which threshold applies. It mixes a January 2027 intake with a selection section referring to spring 2026, so confirm the requirements for your intake. The Executive MBA page reviewed October 15, 2026 describes internal admissions tests, an interview, case studies, and an oral English assessment, without naming the TAGE MAGE, GMAT, or GRE in the section reviewed. The Specialized Master list does not establish each program’s testing requirements; check its admissions page.

How are tests weighted, what are the other steps, and what are the dates?

The 2027 coefficients on both ECRICOME Tremplin pages give KEDGE a written-stage total of 12: academic application 4, reasoning test 4, English 4. In both pathways, shortlisted applicants complete a 20-minute English interview (coefficient 3) and a 30-minute KEDGE motivation interview (coefficient 7). These oral durations and coefficients appear in the 2027 sections. The 2026 regulations allowed KEDGE applicants to interview by video only if they had an internship or studies abroad, subject to prior approval; check your cycle’s requirements.

The 2027 Tremplin pages list a €190 competition fee (€30 application fee for scholarship holders), plus €70 for the TAGE MAGE or TAGE 2 through ECRICOME and €149 for the TOEIC at the preferred rate. In 2026, session 1 closed February 18 and session 2 on April 20 at 11:59 p.m.; for 2027, ECRICOME says preregistration opened Tuesday, October 13, 2026. The pages list monthly periods for both sessions but say exact dates are forthcoming; do not plan around 2026 deadlines and check your candidate account. The AST application-documents article provides a checklist.

The pitfall

Applying one pathway’s test or score to another

Three confusions come up repeatedly. First, applicants may mistake the TAGE MAGE for the Bac+2 test, when that pathway uses the TAGE 2. Second, they may apply English minimums for direct admission or an MSc to ECRICOME Tremplin, even though requirements vary by pathway and cycle. Third, they may assume a reasoning test is optional because not every consortium school requires one; KEDGE does, and the 2026 regulations treated a missing score as disqualifying.

A figure heard on a forum or from a test-prep provider does not replace the school’s published requirements: no page can predict admission, and a cutoff cited without an official source is not an official cutoff.

Key takeaways

  • For ECRICOME Tremplin, KEDGE requires a reasoning test: TAGE MAGE, GMAT, or GRE for Bac+3; TAGE 2, GMAT, or GRE for Bac+2.
  • ECRICOME’s no-minimum statement applied to 2026. No numeric cutoff was found on the 2027 Tremplin pages reviewed; confirm your cycle’s rules.
  • English thresholds for direct Master in Management admission, MSc programs, and the full-time MBA each have their own scope; they do not apply to Tremplin. For direct admission, the TOEIC must be strictly above 785.
  • 2027 preregistration is listed as open since October 13, 2026. Monthly testing periods are shown; check exact dates and document deadlines in your candidate account before booking.
