NEOMA Business School admissions:
which test to take and what scores are published

For NEOMA through Tremplin, choose the TAGE 2, GMAT, or GRE after a two-year degree, or the TAGE MAGE, GMAT, or GRE after a three-year degree. A separate English test is also required. ECRICOME pages now describe the 2027 admissions cycle. Their “no minimum score required” statement comes from the 2026 cycle presentation; it is not a cutoff or a guarantee for 2027. The international pathway and MSc programs have their own requirements.

Which track and tests apply to your degree?

For the Grande École Program at the Reims and Rouen campuses, NEOMA admits applicants with a two- or three-year degree through ECRICOME Tremplin, a shared admissions process in 2027 for three schools: EM Strasbourg, KEDGE, and NEOMA. Applicants register with the consortium, not the school. Shortlisting is based on an academic application, a reasoning test, and an English test, followed by interviews. The 2026 regulations prohibited applying to both Tremplin Bac+2 and Bac+3 in the same year and excluded applicants from literary, business, or science preparatory classes; check the regulations for your cycle.

The international Master in Management pathway is for applicants with a bachelor’s degree from an institution outside France, with at least three years of study, including two abroad. It requires an online application and an interview; nationality alone does not determine the pathway. Master of Science programs have a separate application. The table compares the pathways reviewed; requirements differ by row and should not be transferred from one pathway to another.

Which management test should you choose for your pathway?

After a two-year degree, ECRICOME lists the TAGE 2, GMAT, or GRE; after a three-year degree, the TAGE MAGE, GMAT, or GRE. The FNEGE test associated with your degree is not required, and the pages reviewed do not rank it above the GMAT or GRE. Your other applications and deadlines should guide the choice. If you are also applying to other consortium schools or programs that require the FNEGE test, taking the test for your pathway avoids preparing for two exams; the TAGE 2 and TAGE MAGE article explains why their scores are not comparable.

If you are choosing between the TAGE MAGE and an international test, the “TAGE MAGE or GRE” article compares formats, language, and test dates. Do not infer a NEOMA-specific conversion; the pages reviewed provide none. The 2026 ECRICOME regulations called for conversion to a score out of 20 using its own table, without listing the values. For the international pathway, the GMAT or GRE is recommended for the English track and the TAGE MAGE for the French track; “recommended” does not mean “required.”

Which English tests are accepted, and how long are they valid?

For Tremplin, the list is the same for two- and three-year degrees: IELTS, TOEFL, TOEIC Listening and Reading, TOEIC 4-Skills, Duolingo, Cambridge B2 First, or LTE; choose one. The TOEIC is one of seven options for Tremplin, never a requirement by itself. For the international pathway, NEOMA lists TOEIC 4-Skills, TOEFL iBT, IELTS, Cambridge, and Duolingo, and directs applicants to the school for required scores.

The 2027 ECRICOME pages say TAGE 2 and TAGE MAGE scores are valid for two calendar years, N and N+1, and TOEIC scores for two years from the test date. The 2026 regulations accepted GMAT and GRE scores from the previous five calendar years and used the test provider’s validity period for English tests. Check these conditions and the reference date in the regulations for your cycle. The score-validity article explains how to check a result before applying, and the TOEIC guide article on choosing a version explains the difference between Listening and Reading and four-skill tests.

What scores do NEOMA and its consortium publish?

For the MSc Global Management double-degree option (with Dublin City University or ESB Business School), NEOMA’s page requires an overall IELTS score of 6.5, with at least 6.0 in each component, or a TOEFL iBT score of 88, with at least 21 in Speaking and Writing. It says this application does not go through NEOMA’s application portal and gives no start date for this option. The Master in Management and two MSc programs direct applicants to admissions for required scores, without stating them in the sections reviewed. The Global Executive MBA requires B2, demonstrated with a TOEIC or TOEFL test taken within the past two years, with exceptions for some English-speaking backgrounds; B2 is a proficiency level, not a numeric score. For Tremplin, ECRICOME said no minimum TAGE, GMAT, GRE, or English-test score was required for the 2026 cycle.

The 2026 no-minimum statement did not make scores irrelevant: the regulations converted them into grades and weighted them. For 2027, ECRICOME still requires a reasoning test for NEOMA. The 2027 pages reviewed do not explicitly repeat the “no minimum score required” statement; confirm it with the consortium for this cycle.

How much do the tests count, and what are the other steps?

For 2027, ECRICOME lists the following NEOMA coefficients for both Tremplin Bac+2 and Bac+3: 4 for the academic application, 5 for the reasoning test, and 3 for the English test, for a total of 12. Shortlisted applicants then have a 20-minute English conversation (coefficient 4) and a 30-minute motivation interview (coefficient 6), for a total oral coefficient of 10. These coefficients apply to two separate stages, shortlisting and final admission; they are not by themselves an overall weighting of every assessment.

ECRICOME’s 2027 pages list a €190 competition fee, or €30 for eligible scholarship holders, excluding test fees. They show monthly test windows but say detailed dates will be published later. Check your pathway’s calendar before booking and make sure the test date fits before the application deadline. The AST application-documents article offers a checklist, and the ECRICOME Tremplin Bac+3 article explains how tests fit into the application. For the international pathway, NEOMA’s Master in Management page lists October 18, 2026 as the deadline for January 2027 entry and the end of June 2027 for September 2027 entry.

The pitfall

Mistaking an estimate for a cutoff or one pathway’s test for another’s

An estimate of the “score needed to get into NEOMA” is not an official cutoff unless it is tied to a specific pathway and cycle. ECRICOME’s December 2025 presentation said “no minimum score required” for 2026; do not turn that into a 2027 rule. Even an official score guideline does not guarantee admission, which also depends on the application and interviews.

The second pitfall is carrying one pathway’s test over to another: the TAGE 2 is listed for Tremplin Bac+2, the TAGE MAGE for Tremplin Bac+3, and one score does not replace the other. Likewise, do not apply NEOMA’s international-pathway score information to Tremplin, or vice versa.

Key takeaways

  • After a two-year degree, the reasoning test is the TAGE 2, GMAT, or GRE; after a three-year degree, it is the TAGE MAGE, GMAT, or GRE. One test is enough, and it is required for NEOMA.
  • English proficiency is demonstrated with one of seven tests; the TOEIC is one option, not a requirement.
  • ECRICOME’s no-minimum statement applies to the 2026 cycle. The MSc Global Management double degree publishes its own English minimums; check the other programs’ requirements with admissions.
  • Before booking, check your test’s validity, your cycle’s regulations, and the updated schedule for your session.
