TAGE MAGE accommodations:
prepare your request before registering

Send your complete application to amenagement@fnege.fr at least one month before your preferred session, then wait for FNEGE’s decision before registering. The request, supporting documents, and registration are separate steps. Here is how to organize your application without assuming it will be approved or which accommodation will be granted.

Where should you start?

The Disability accommodations page directs applicants to submit a request to FNEGE. Extra time is intended for students with disabilities who receive it for their exams during the current academic year. The service, which can be reached at amenagement@fnege.fr, reviews requests and offers a session where possible. Not all sessions can accommodate adjustments. The dedicated page excludes temporary limitations, such as an injury or illness; contact the service if you are unsure how your situation is handled.

This article organizes the administrative process; it does not determine a diagnosis or your eligibility. Explain your application status and scheduling constraints to the service. A specific question with relevant references helps distinguish a missing document from a question about test arrangements.

Which supporting documents should you prepare?

The procedure requires a valid original medical certificate from one of the listed bodies: MDPH, CDAPH or an MDPH/CDAPH designated physician, university or inter-university preventive health services, or an accommodation notice from your university or education authority. A generic medical certificate does not automatically meet this requirement. Check with the service that your document meets the exact requirements.

To organize your documents, keep the applicant’s identity information, supporting evidence, and follow-up correspondence separate. Give files clear names and keep a copy of what you submit. These filing suggestions do not create additional official requirements. If a document is unavailable, discuss it with the service rather than assuming another will be accepted.

You do not need to send these supporting documents to Upsilar to read this article or prepare for the test. The test administrator is the recipient of the request. In your own study notes, keep only the confirmed arrangements that will help you plan sessions; there is no need to copy personal application information.

How should you plan for the stated timeline?

FNEGE requires a complete application at least one month before your preferred session. The rules allow a possible reduction to ten days for a session that already offers accommodations; this does not guarantee availability. Use one month as your planning baseline and confirm any exception.

Work backward from your application deadline: when the result must be available, a possible test session, and then the date to submit your application. Add a buffer for follow-up or a missing document. A request that has been sent and a complete request are different statuses; record which one the service confirms.

The pitfall

Registering first and hoping to change sessions later

The rules provide for designated sessions and registration using a password sent after approval. Do not treat a standard booking as an accommodated booking. If you have already registered, ask the service what to do; we cannot promise that your booking can be transferred.

The pages also differ on how to submit documents: the current rules specify email, while the dedicated page mentions email or postal mail and includes an excerpt referring to postal submission. Ask the service to clarify how to send the original certificate required by the rules.

How should you adapt your practice afterward?

Once the arrangements are confirmed, reproduce the approved conditions in your practice tests. Do not assume a time allowance, equipment allowance, or break based on another applicant’s case. If the notice does not answer a practical question, ask for clarification before test day.

Finally, keep one session for transitions: reading instructions, organizing scratch work, and transferring answers. An accommodation does not replace learning these steps. You can practice understanding the reasoning without a timer, then introduce the approved conditions.

Key takeaways

  • Send the request and required documents to the appropriate service.
  • Plan for one month and confirm which sessions can accommodate you.
  • Wait for the decision before practicing under accommodated conditions.
